Occupy Wall Street Subgroup Files Cogent Amicus Brief Supporting Judge Rakoff on SEC Settlements

An "Occupy Wall Street" subgroup is making its mark in securities litigation and regulation. The point is illustrated by the story below from Susan Beck at American Lawyer. Ms Beck reports on an amicus brief filed by Occupy in the ongoing appeal to the Second Circuit on Judge Rakoff’s review of an SEC settlement. The article also reports on the group filing a significant 325 page comment letter with the SEC. The authors are described as having roots in Wall Street law firms and Ivy League schools.
