The US Chamber of Commerce attacks litigation funding almost everyday as to use by plaintiff lawyers involved in product liability litigation (ok, maybe not quite that often, but it is a constant theme). On the other hand, Hank Greenberg, former CEO of AIG, is using litigation funding to pay part of David Boies’ fees for Greenberg’s $ 40 billion claim against the United States for allegedly over-charging for the AIG bailout, according to a September 23, 2014 NYT article by Ben Protess. More on the case is set out in an October 2, 2014 article at the NYT’s DealBook.

When will we see the Chamber attack Hank for using litigation funding?
